PAD (Power Academy of Dance) was formed in September 2003 and run for over 20 years by Keely. The classes were small at first but soon grew bigger so the classes had to be spread to more days and more venues.

In July 2024 Miss Holly took over PAD combining it with the existing School (Miss Holly’s School of Dance) which she has run for just over 10 years.

We use the ISTD syllabus for our Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap classes. We also offer a number of classes outside of the structured syllabus including Jazz, Musical Theater and Acro to name a few. Our classes are taught by qualified, enthusiastic and experienced teachers.

We currently offer a discount for siblings, and a discount if you take more than 1 class a week.

We are always happy to perform and have previously taken part in Clapham Village Fun Day, Emmaus Village Music Festival and Oakley Carnival. We have also taken part in Bedford Council’s Dance4All. The students have performed productions at the Corn Exchange in Bedford, Bowen West Theatre in Bedford and the Sharnbrook Mill Theatre.

The school has entered many students for exams with the ISTD over the years. Previous Students have gone on to study at the ‘London Studio Centre’ with a scholarship and ‘The Centre’ in London. We have students who have taken part in the English Youth Ballet production of Sleeping Beauty in Stevenage. Plus 3 students have successfully auditioned for Cambridge Youth Ballet and some attend the CAT (Centre of Advanced Training) schemes.

We wish the best for all our students, both past and present, and will support them the best we can in all their performing arts-related ambitions.
